We recently had the pleasure of facilitating a tour of the Pooler Fire Station with the Young Men of Honor. It was truly a delight to see these young men so inspired by what they experienced. After sitting down in a classroom setting to listen to the firefighters tell them about their daily lives, we were able to tour the station and see where they eat, sleep, and even relax. We were even treated to a race between two members of the department to see who could dress in their full fire gear the fastest. It was a special day, one that we’ll never forget.
The Young Men of Honor is a group, led by Diane Jackson, that guides and mentors young men and shows them how much potential they each have within them. Their motto is “Where there is no vision, there is no hope”. You can find out more about the Young Men of Honor at www.youngmenofhonor.org
